What Is A Peer Alert? |
|
You can use sQusi to create and share alerts with other users. These alerts are displayed in a small unobtrusive window when you type in a keyword into a search engine such as Google or Yahoo! In other words, relevant alerts from the sQusi community appear only when you are looking for something. They beat email alerts hands down and one click turns them on or off. When you create an alert, it will be displayed to other sQusi users when they type in matching keywords in any of 36 search engines listed below.

Why Should I Create Alerts? |
|
The web gets larger every minute. Whether it is your personal ad on CraigsList, your classified on eBay or Amazon, or even your Facebook profile, it's getting harder to get attention especially by people you don't know.
Same holds true if you have an eBay or Amazon store. The sad fact is that they have grown so big that it is almost impossible for any site visitor to find your little corner.
But alerts are not just about getting attention for yourself—they can also be used to help others find things like good deals on stuff or information.
sQusi alerts are free and they are seen by people whose attention is not distracted by annoying ads (we block them), and who are looking for what you're flagging up at that very moment.

What Are The Limits On What I Can Do? |
|
Apart from the Alert guidelines, the only other limitations are:
- You can only have one active alert at any time and
- You are limited to 20 clicks per month by other sQusi users.
You can increase the number of clicks in these ways:
- Keep your incoming alerts turned on and click them if they are relevant to what you are looking for. Each time you click on another user's alert, you earn a permanent click for your future alerts. For example, if you click on five incoming alerts, you 'earn' five clicks towards your own alerts—so the next alert you create will have 25 clicks (your 20 base clicks plus 5 earned clicks) which will be your new base.
- Another way is to refer a friend to download and register withs Qusi. If they enter your email address in the referrer's box when they register, you earn 20 permanent clicks per month. You can refer a maximum of five friends (100 clicks) in all.

How The Attention Exchange Works
|
|
sQusi is an Attention Exchange. If you want people to pay attention to what you want, you must agree to see what they want you to see. If you create an outgoing alert and then turn off incoming alerts, your alert will be paused and won't be seen by others.
There is no requirement for you see any alerts, you can turn them off completely and focus your full attention (we block the ads) on the web content you are interested in.
If you keep incoming alerts turned on, you can be sure that they will only appear when you look for something in a search engine and they will be relevant and helpful rather than distracting.
