sQusi Does More Than Just Block Ads
sQusi uses a continuously updated global database that resides on your computer to automatically and selectively:

  • Block cookies, flash objects, web beacons, script files and other file types before they can be placed on your computer.  These files either serve up annoying ads or, in many cases, track your activity as you navigate from site to site.

  • Delete flash objects, non-essential Explorer, Firefox and Navigator cookies and cached Explorer files without affecting the loading of your favorite sites.

  • Block annoying Flash ads and content such as embedded music players and inline IntelliTXT ads.

You can manage your own personal white and black lists that override the global database settings and get the best of both worlds.

sQusi has been tested and certified by experts at the authorized download sites as being free of viruses, spyware, adware or anything evil.  No URL-related (personal web surfing) information is sent to sQusi’s servers.

How sQusi Works
The sQusi desktop client runs in the background on your computer. Whenever you load a new web page in your browser, sQusi checks the URLs received, and if any of them are listed in its local or global database on your computer as needing to be blocked, it blocks them before they can be stored on your computer.

Similarly, if the global database lists a blocked URL you think is legitimate, you can override it by selecting Block/Unblock List from the menu and entering the exact URL in your local Unblock list.

sQusi uses a continuously and automatically updated database that resides on your computer.  It has an auto-update feature that does this with no effort on your part. It regularly checks with sQusi's servers for updates, downloads them and asks your permission to install them.

Lower Your Web Profile
Eric Schmidt Google's CEO once said: "We don't know enough about you."  but that was before you signed up for GMail, downloaded the helpful toolbar, installed GoogleTalk, searched for those videos and linked your GMail account to your cell phone. Now, Eric knows more than enough about you—where you live, who you call, what you search for, whom you email and what you're really looking for.

But to be fair, Google will not turn out evil as in 'Scroogled!' as long as you keep clicking those adwords and adsense ads. It's the other guys who scare us more.
